## Methodology

The ONS's four personal wellbeing questions — life satisfaction, feeling life is worthwhile, happiness yesterday, anxiety yesterday — mean scores for London from the Annual Population Survey. Self-reported and survey-based. Anxiety runs the other way from the rest: high is worse, which is why its line sits apart from the others rather than being read as the best performer.
