## Methodology

Every London listing in Inside Airbnb's most recent quarterly snapshot, coloured by whether the whole property is let or a room within it. The distinction is the housing question: an entire home let short-term is a dwelling not housing anyone, while a spare room is not. Positions are as published by the platform, which offsets them slightly for privacy, so a dot is a street rather than a front door. Inside Airbnb scrapes public listing pages — a listing is an advertisement, not a completed booking.
