## Methodology

Occurrence records by species group. Only mutually exclusive groups are shown: the NBN's own hierarchy nests Birds and Mammals inside Animals and Insects inside Arthropods, so charting the raw facet would count the same record several times. That birds dominate says as much about who does the recording as about what lives here.
