## Methodology

Hourly Daily Air Quality Index readings from every LondonAir monitoring site. A site's index is the worst of the pollutants it measures, which is how the DAQI is defined. The headline is the median site rather than the mean, so one roadside monitor beside a bus stand does not decide what the whole city is breathing.
