## Methodology

Live companies in the official monthly Companies House bulk snapshot whose full registered-office postcode resolves to a London local authority, aggregated to postcode district. Colour is a 0–100 relative concentration index: 100 is the largest mapped postcode count, while selecting a cell reports the exact count and its share of the mapped London total. The cells are nearest-centroid tessellations for comparison, not Royal Mail boundaries. Read this as registered-office administration, not workplaces, jobs or output: shared offices and formation-agent addresses can dominate a district.

## Visualisations

- [Registered-office map](https://londongraph.com/g/where-companies-say-they-live): Map relative concentration while keeping the exact live-company count primary in details.
- [Concentration curve](https://londongraph.com/g/where-companies-say-they-live?view=concentration): Show how quickly mapped registered offices accumulate across postcode districts.
- [Shared-address diagnostic](https://londongraph.com/g/where-companies-say-they-live?view=shared-addresses): Compare the share of each district registered at its busiest full postcode. Caveat: Address concentration does not by itself identify a formation agent.
- [Scale vs sharing](https://londongraph.com/g/where-companies-say-they-live?view=scale-vs-sharing): Compare live-company count with busiest-postcode share.
